Responsorial Psalm
Song of Solomon 3
All night long on my bed I looked for the one my heart loves; I looked for him but did not find him. I will get up now and go about the city, through its streets and squares; I will search for the one my heart loves. So I looked for him but did not find him. The watchmen found me as they made their rounds in the city. ?Have you seen the one my heart loves?? Scarcely had I passed them when I found the one my heart loves. I held him and would not let him go till I had brought him to my mother's house, to the room of the one who conceived me.
Daughters of Jerusalem, I charge you by the gazelles and by the does of the field: Do not arouse or awaken love until it so desires.
Who is this coming up from the desert blike a column of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and incense made from all the spices of the merchant? Look! It is Solomon's carriage, escorted by sixty warriors, the noblest of Israel, all of them wearing the sword, all experienced in battle, each with his sword at his side, prepared for the terrors of the night.
King Solomon made for himself the carriage: he made it of wood from Lebanon. Its posts he made of silver, its base of gold. Its seat was upholstered with purple, its interior lovingly inlaid by[the daughters of Jerusalem.
Come out, you daughters of Zion, and look at King Solomon wearing the crown, the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding, the day his heart rejoiced.
The Kyrie
R. Lord, have mercy upon us.
V. Christ, have mercy upon us.
R. Lord have mercy upon us.
The Lords Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy kingdom come.Thy will be done,On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever.
Amen.
Closing Versicles:
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with thy spirit
V. Bless we the Lord.
R. Thanks be to God.
V. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
R. Amen.

V. Before the mountains were begotten and the earth and the world were brought forth, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.
R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

V. Seventy is the sum of our years, or eighty, if we are strong, And most of them are fruitless toil, for they pass quickly and we drift away.
R. In every age, O Lord, you have been our refuge.

A song of ascents. Of David. LORD, my heart is not proud; nor are my eyes haughty. I do not busy myself with great matters, with things too sublime for me.
Rather, I have stilled my soul, hushed it like a weaned child. Like a weaned child on its mother's lap, so is my soul within me.
Israel, hope in the LORD, now and forever
