Opening

Leader: The Lord almighty grant us a quiet night and peace at the last.
All: Amen

L: It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
R: to sing praise to your name, O Most High;

L: To herald your love in the morning,
R: Your truth at the close of the day.


Confession
The confession is said responsively, first with the lector confessing and receiving the promise of absolution from the congregation, then with the congregation confessing and receiving the promise of absolution from the lector. [In our case, one member speaks for the congregation, so as not to clutter the chat.]

L: I confess to God Almighty, before the whole company of heaven, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned in thought, word, and deed by my fault, by my own fault, by my own most grievous fault; wherefore I pray God Almighty to have mercy on me, forgive me all my sins, and bring me to everlasting life. Amen

R: The almighty and merciful Lord grant you pardon, forgiveness, and remission of all your sins. Amen

St Francis Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.

Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy;

O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
